Catcher Spotting
Instructions:
- Answer the questions about your knowledge of the game and click "Begin". You do not need experience with baseball to participate, but we need to know if you have any.
- A series of videos, consisting of one pitch each, will appear. One of the following modes of input will be available to you:
- Clicking directly on the video;
- Clicking on a catcher image with a grid zone;
- Clicking on a catcher image with a grid zone, but with the ability to make notes on the video.
- Catcher Target: Indicate where you believe the catcher is setting the target for the pitch by clicking either on the video or the grid, depending on where the glove icon appears.
- Pitch Location: Indicate where the ball was caught or hit by clicking either on the video or the grid, depending on where the ball icon appears.
- Repeat for each video that appears. There are 150 videos to review, so please stay until the end (the more from each session, the better the science) but your record will be kept if you leave before the end.
Thank you for taking part!
